		<description>Greetings,
As of 4/17/&#039;09 the external modem you recommended, TRENDnet TFM-560X from newegg.com is now listed as a Deactivated Item. (See http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16825134002) I was told the company is undecided if the deactivation will be permanent or temporary. Newegg lists U.S. Robotics USR3453C as a similar product.
(See http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16825104004).
Do you agree? If not, please indicate your choice.
Also. please recommend a quick, reliable and very low-cost Dial up ISP for Ubuntu 7.10 “Gutsy Gibbon”.
Sadly, I need to economize and am now in the process of switching from DSL to Dial-up.

As a precaution, please keep my contact information secure and do not sell or distribute it to a third party. Thank you.

Your suggestions are welcome.

		<description>Hi:
I tried both Gnome PPP &amp; the WVDial config. and still have issues..
I logged all my stuff in on the UbuntuForums; each step that I took/etc. as well as a couple of suspicions, would you take a look at my post and perhaps recommend where I got skewed on the steps lined out?
your assistance would be appreciated
PS: in the mean time another suggested I reload U: 8.04 which I&#039;ll attempt over the next few days..
Appreciations-
AC
*I hope this link is correct.../advise if you have trouble linking to it. or just go by my user name here.
